It seems like it's been a few years since we've had a really good snow. We've had ice, we've had dry dustings of snow and we've had little bits of good snow, but now it looks like close to 4 inches (yeah--that's a good snow for us SW Missourians).
Thankfully, it isn't as bad as last year's ice storms with power outages all over. Just really cold...
you know, perfect weather for ice cream!!
--dh went out to gather up 2 bowls of snow (avoiding neighborhood cat tracks of course) and we added milk, vanilla, and sugar/splenda, mixing well. It cost us less than $1 for about 2 quarts of ice cream (including chocolate syrup). DH also added cold coffee (leftover from this morning) to some for his own creation--"Mocha Snow" drink--mmmm, yummy!!

Very cool...I've never heard of doing that before! I might have to give it a try. My kids are so anxious to go play outside in the snow...I'm not looking forward to the cold though! lol
ReplyDeleteHaHa! My dh actually took the kiddos out to play today while I stayed in.....he was pretty proud of himself--first snow ice cream, then playing with them in the snow--guess he thinks he needs a daddy of the yr award now :)
